DeskView Load
DeskView Load is a new and powerful process which enables business
clients to be customized and personalized at the factory (Windows XP).
It combines the strengths of the existing installation methods,
unattended installation (UI) and bit image cloning. In short, this
means that DeskView Load provides a high degree of customization and
best-in-class driver installation at maximum speed. DeskView Load
allows profile-controlled modification of the operating system and
complete personalization of an individual business client, as well as
user-dependent initial software loading.
With DeskView Load, Fujitsu Siemens Computes delivers directly to the
end user's desk. A rollout center is no longer essential. By
eliminating one logistical pathway DeskView Load can deliver
significant cost benefits. Needless to say, this streamlined logistics
process also improves the DoA rate.
Another benefit of DeskView Load becomes apparent during the
pre-rollout phase. A vast amount of time is normally spent assessing
the hardware and its respective drivers. DeskView Load makes expensive
and lengthy driver qualification a thing of the past. Fujitsu Siemens
simply allows the OS to run with regard to the embedded drivers
DeskView Load is not intended to replace client management systems such
as Altiris (Altiris), SMS 2003 (Microsoft), Empirum (Matrix42), Managed
now! (CA) or LANDesk (LANDesk), which manage deployed clients
throughout their lifecycle. DeskView Load is Fujitsu's simple and
impressive solution for initial software loading, based on best
practice sharing. Once DeskView Load has distributed the software to
the clients, they can easily be handed over to any client management
suite available in the marketplace.
