MyInsight - FAQs


How do I get a login for MyInsight?


Contact your Insight UK account representative or email Web Support and we will set up an account for you

Can I set other users in my organisation up with a login to the site?


Yes and new users can also set themselves up to save you time. Simply go to your unique URL and enter your company password. Contact your account representative if you’re unaware of any of the details. Once users are set up you can change their access rights

Can I run purchase activity reports online?


Yes, there are several different search variations that you can run. You can pull of all POs ever place with Insight, search via specific dates, certain PO Numbers and more. All reports are real-time as data pulls directly from Insight’s back office system

I want a complete report of all purchases made on my account. Is this possible?


Using MyInsight it's easy and just a few clicks away. Reports can be run back to the very first purchase you placed with Insight

Can I be sure I am getting my organisations agreed pricing when I search for products online?


Yes. When you log in, you are signing in to your own account and the pricing displayed there is being pulled directly from our backend system where all your pricing agreements are set. The pricing you will see is the same pricing that your account rep sees and quotes you should you call/email for a quote

Can I track my recently-placed orders online?


Yes, there is an order status tool on the site. You can track the status of your orders as well as get PoDs for orders which have already close

Can I get copies of invoices online?


You can open up a copy of any invoice online, simply open up the PO and select view a printable order.  Official invoice copies will be sent to you in the post and will be available online in the future

We have many accounts with Insight. Can I have one login for all accounts?


Yes, you simply need to ensure that you have the same email address and password attached to every account.  When you are set up on each account you will receive randomly generated passwords, you will need to change them all to the same word.  If you are unsure whether you are set up on all accounts or if your details are correct, please contact your Account Manager who will be able to check your account for you

We have a requirement to have the ability to invoice to delivery addresses, is this possible?


Yes, you can either Invoice to the Ship-To address (delivery) or Invoice to the Bill-To address (Default) – unfortunately at this stage we can not do both.  This will be possible in the future, please speak with your Account Manager to discuss your requirements

We need to set up new users on MyInsight, how do we do that?


You can ask your Account Manager for your company password; this will allow you to set up new users.  Or alternatively you can ask for them to be set up by your Account Manager

Can I change currency on the website?


No. Pricing will be displayed in the currency your account is set up in.  In the future this will be available

Can my billing and shipping addresses be modified on the website?


Changes to your billing address must be requested via your Account Manager or you can request it via the MyInsight system

Changes to your shipping addresses can be made at the checkout or you can build a list of regular ship to addresses

My company would like to implement a B2B solution with Insight. What do I need to do?


Contact your Account Manager. They will put you in contact with an E-Commerce Specialist who will gather some basic information from you about the project to help the Technical Department with the initial setup. The E-Commerce Specialist along with your Account Manager will manage the project and deliver your requirements and also provide training to get you started

How can I control which products are available in my online catalogue?


Through specially assigned admin rights, you can have the ability to build and modify lists of standard products for your users to purchase from. You can also include/exclude products, manufacturers or product groups from your catalogue entirely

We buy the same products from Insight repeatedly – is there a way to set these items up for regular easy purchase?


A group can be set up which contains your company’s standard purchases so your users don’t have to search for the products each time.  You can either set up these products yourself or you can work with your Account Manager to put these lists together for you

Can we set up approval processes for our orders within our organisation?


Yes, Insight UK has an Approval Management feature which allows routing of orders to assigned approvers based on criteria such as order value or content

The Approval Management section can cope with almost every scenario we could think of. If you think of any you need that don't exist - we'll create those for you

Why can’t I log in to my account?


If you are experiencing problems please check that your email address and password are correct.  If it’s simply a case of forgetting your password, visit the forgotten password section online

If problems still persist please contact your Account Manager or email Web Support and we will help to sort the issue out for you
