Insight has access to over 20 company-owned, manufacturer and distributor warehouses with more than 60,000 computing products. Our fast and customer-friendly electronic data interchange (EDI) gives you visibility to millions of pounds of inventory every day. When you place an order, our EDI system identifies the appropriate product and often will 'drop ship' it directly from one of our manufacturer or distributor warehouses. This ensures that you receive products quickly and helps to keep our cost of doing business very low.

Insight UK does not ship internationally, we ship to mainland Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

How to Check the Status Of Your Order To check the status of your order:
- Click on myAccount.
- Enter your E-mail address and password.
- The next screen will prompt you to enter a specific order number, or you can request a complete list of your orders by clicking on "past transactions." You are also welcome to enter in a specific date range to receive detailed invoice history.
- Once the correct information has been entered, you will be presented with your order status information.

Q: What are the definitions for the "Order Status Messages"?
"Awaiting Stock to Fulfil Your Order"
We are in the process of ordering stock in for your order. If you can see stock available already then please allow up to an hour for our stock allocation process to update your order. The stock allocation process only runs during office hours.
Note: The stock shown on the web site may not be available for direct delivery with certain shipping methods, in those cases we will order into our own warehouse and ship to you from there.
"Order Cancelled"
Your order has been cancelled. If you did not request to cancel the order, we may have cancelled it automatically after emailing you regarding an issue and receiving no response.
"Order is being sourced"
This means your order has entered the picking process. We will dispatch it as soon as it is ready, usually within the next 24 hours.
"Order is Shipping"
Your goods are being dispatched. Please note it may take up to 24 hours for us to download your courier consignment number.
"Order Being Processed"
We have received your order and it is being processed in our fulfilment system.
"Order Invoiced"
Your order has been shipped and invoiced.
"Processing Returned Goods"
We have received the goods you have returned and are processing them.
"Open Quote"
You have placed a quote with us. To buy the products on your quote please go to the myAccount section.
"Credit note being processed"
We have issued you with a credit and are processing it on our system.
"Debit invoice being processed"
This usually means we are issuing you with a new invoice at your request.

Insight uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection. This security protocol was designed and specified by Netscape Communications for providing data security layered between application protocols (such as HTTP, Telnet, NNTP, or FTP) and TCP/IP.
In other words, it's pretty tough to break - but not impossible. If you are extremely risk adverse - Call us at Insight! However, if you ever give your card to someone at a restaurant and allow them to take it behind closed doors - you run a significantly higher chance of experiencing credit card fraud than with a secure Web connection.

Important Delivery Notes
- An order placed after 3:00 PM, or on a Saturday or Sunday, may not be shipped until the next business day.
- Most orders are shipped the same day they are placed, if all the products are in stock.
- Orders placed for Overnight Delivery are usually delivered on the next business day. For example, orders placed on Friday morning are normally shipped on Friday, and delivered on Monday.
- Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are normally shipped on Monday, and delivered on Tuesday.
- Every Insight Web order shipped requires a signature for delivery.
- Orders will not be left at your doorstep.
- Insight do not deliver to PO Boxes.
Delivery to a Different Address
We understand that many households work during the day and are therefore unavailable to take courier deliveries. We will deliver to a different verifiable business address to that registered for your payment method but unfortunately we are unable to deliver to another residential address to that of where the card is registered, we do request that you follow the procedures below.
ORDERS UNDER £2000
We need one of the following:-
A fax to 0870 700 8003 from the card holder authorising shipment to the alternate address. Please include the shipping address, the address registered for the payment method, order number and signature.
We may request a copy of the card or utility bill faxed through to us on 0870 704 6137 or 0870 704 6237
ORDERS OVER £2000 >
Order confirmation will need to be sent in on headed paper if for a company purchase, for a consumers purchase a copy of a utility bill or a copy of the front and back of the card may be requested. The faxes can be sent through to Fax number 0870 704 6137 or 0870 704 6237 stating the order number.
Why should I bother with these procedures?
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience these procedures may cause you. However, we feel that it is very important that we protect our customers and ourselves from card fraud. We hope our customers will understand this and appreciate the security measures we have in place.
Delivery Information
Please look at the chart below to see when and how you would like your goods delivered (the chart applies to UK mainland only). Remember, if your goods are fragile, or valued over £1000 (ex VAT), they have to be sent as FRAGILE.
Any HEAVY ITEMS may require a two man service if there is no forklift at the receipting address. We can quote on more urgent deliveries individually, but if you don't specify the service you require, the most appropriate delivery service will be allocated and charged accordingly.
N.B. If a technical service is being applied to a product order, this may affect the product delivery date. Details of lead time and target performance for each technical service are listed in the services section.
