Insight Selected to Support Scottish Enterprise to Deliver Responsible AI Adoption

Insight will deliver comprehensive AI advisory and adoption support across all three lots of Scottish Enterprise's National AI Scaling Adoption Programme, funded by Scottish Government.

LONDON, England, September 14, 2026 – Insight has been appointed by Scottish Enterprise to support delivery of its AI Scaling Adoption Programme across Scotland, working with Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and South of Scotland Enterprise. Funded by the Scottish Government, the programme will help organisations move beyond experimentation and identify where AI can deliver genuine, sustainable value.

Scotland is at a pivotal moment. The Scottish Government's AI Strategy 2026-2031 sets an ambitious vision for Scotland to become a leader in responsible AI innovation and adoption. Yet translating that vision into reality requires more than strategy; it requires practical support, expert guidance, and a structured approach to help businesses identify where AI can deliver genuine competitive advantage. The programme reflects the commitment from Insight to support the ambition of the Scottish Government's AI Strategy 2026-2031: that Scotland's businesses should have access to specialist AI expertise and strategic guidance, enabling them to compete confidently in an increasingly AI-enabled global economy.

A Business-Led Approach to AI Adoption

Insight's methodology begins with business challenges, not technology. Through the programme, participating organisations will receive:

• Strategic AI readiness assessment tailored to the business's sector, growth ambitions and strategic objectives.
• Expert consultancy support to identify, prioritise and validate high-impact AI opportunities, with a focus on progressing viable use cases into strategic implementation projects.
• Guidance on the critical enablers of successful AI adoption, including data readiness, governance, security, workforce skills and organisational change.
• Practical support to develop a clear, actionable roadmap for implementing priority AI use cases.
• Recommendations to help build internal capability and create the foundations for scalable growth through AI adoption.

This approach is designed to help Scottish businesses make informed decisions, prioritise the right opportunities and establish a credible route from ambition to measurable outcomes.
