Experienced business leader with over 30 years in the IT industry, including more than 23 years in software development and technology services.
Proven track record of leading teams and organisations delivering large-scale, complex projects and transformation programs across multiple industries. Extensive experience in leadership roles supporting the integration of business units following M&A activities across the USA, Germany, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Also closely involved in international expansion, establishing greenfield software delivery centers across LATAM, APAC, and MENA, as well as building captive and Build–Operate–Transfer (BOT) delivery organisations for enterprise clients.

Simon Fotakis serves as the Maritime CISO at Insight, shaping cyber security strategy for maritime owners, managers, and operators as IT and operational technology continue to converge at sea.
Simon previously worked as a maritime CTO and ex-CISO, safeguarding up to $10bn in assets, and has held senior leadership positions with some of the world's largest ship managers while leading major fleet modernisation programmes across commercial and leisure maritime. He is an active CISSP and a contributing member to ISC2.
