AROYA Cruises, owned by Cruise Saudi, was launched in 2023 as the first Arabian cruise line. Insight modernised its flagship AROYA vessel, enhancing passenger experience, optimising crew operations and setting the stage for further advancements in the cruise sector.
The IT modernisation programme, spearheaded by Insight, aimed at improving both guest experience and crew operations. The programme's core objective was to overcome the technological gap in the cruise industry by implementing advanced, scalable, and portable technologies.
The initiative was structured into 12 workstreams, encompassing: modern workplace; collaboration tools; print solutions; conference room facilities; guest interaction; international compliance, and general product deployment.
Additionally, the programme optimised the virtual desktop infrastructure using thin clients for over 1,500 crew members, with customised user sessions based on their roles. The implemented architecture lays a robust foundation for future technological expansion and innovation.
