1: Software Subscriptions & Perpetual Software Purchases Temporarily Unavailable on October 1, 2026:

Please be aware that purchases of software subscriptions and perpetual software licenses will be temporarily unavailable on October 1, 2026, while new price lists are being loaded into the platform.

To avoid any disruption to your business, we recommend completing any planned purchases before October 1, 2026.

Purchasing functionality will be restored as soon as the update process is complete.

2: Windows 365 Business License Changes — Faster Reassignment Now Available:

When you unassign a Windows 365 Business license from a user, their Cloud PC enters a 7-day grace period before it's deprovisioned.

Microsoft has added a new option that gives administrators the ability to end this grace period immediately, allowing the Cloud PC to be deleted right away so the license can be reassigned to another user.

3: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce Scale Unit: Pricing and Entitlement Alignment

Effective September 1, 2026, Microsoft aligns Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) device bundle pricing with the Dynamics 365 Operations – Device stock keeping unit (SKU).

• Pricing for new and renewing CSU device bundle subscriptions aligns with the Dynamics 365 Operations – Device SKU.
• Storage entitlements of the CSU device bundles match the entitlement levels of Operations – Device licenses.
• The alignment applies to new and renewing subscriptions, with a clear cut-off on September 1, 2026.
• Review the renewal date of every Commerce Scale Unit subscription before the cut-off date.

Commerce Scale Unit is the runtime component of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce.
It processes point of sale and commerce transactions for stores and digital channels, and it connects them to the Dynamics 365 back office.
Microsoft offers it in device bundles, which are licensed per device rather than per named user.

Because the bundles are device based, the alignment places them on the same commercial basis as other device licensed Dynamics 365 workloads. That makes the device count, not the user count, the decisive factor in the renewal calculation.
