Insight x Stemettes Hackathon Inspires Young Minds and Ignites AI Innovation

The Insight Hackathon: Enjoy, Learn, Solve’, designed to inspire young women and non-binary individuals to consider a career in tech, was attended by the Mayor of Hillingdon, and the MP of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

London, England, October 9, 2023 — Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ:NSIT), a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator driving client success through digital transformation, has partnered with Stemettes, an award-winning charity organisation, to host Insight’s inaugural hackathon. ‘The Insight Hackathon: Enjoy, Learn, Solve’, held on Saturday, focused on tackling the growing need for diversity in STEM careers by inspiring and motivating young women and non-binary individuals aged five to 25 to leverage the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in solving future and current global challenges.

High profile guests including the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana, and the Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP, Steve Tuckwell, attended on the day, emphasising the event’s importance towards promoting diversity and innovation in STEM and tech fields.

“It was an honour to attend the Insight Hackathon and support the growing need for diversity in STEM and tech fields,” said the Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana. “I commend Insight and Stemettes for providing a unique platform for young people to showcase their talents and creativity, giving them an opportunity to gain practical knowledge in tech fields to inspire them to pursue future careers in tech.”

The Insight Hackathon was an excellent opportunity for young minds to explore the revolutionary power of AI and leverage its potential to address health, well-being and social challenges to shape a better future. With AI becoming increasingly prominent in society, the activities focused on empowering attendees to understand the possibilities of technology and gain practical knowledge in coding, web and app development.
