Microsoft News & Updates:

 

1: Viva Goals retirement:
 

On January 22, 2025, Microsoft has announced to deprecate Viva Goals over the next 13 months with retirement of Viva Goals on December 31, 2025.
For this reason, we have disabled auto- renew on all active Viva Goals subscriptions.

Microsoft will not be replacing Viva Goals with another solution or integrating its features into other products. Users will have access to Viva Goals and their data until December 31, 2025, or until their licenses expire, whichever comes first. After this date, Viva Goals will no longer be accessible.

2: Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for Windows 10:
 

The Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) program gives customers the option to receive security updates for PCs enrolled in the program. ESU is a paid program that provides individuals and organizations of all sizes with the option to extend the use of Windows 10 devices past the end of support date in a more secure manner. Individuals or organizations who elect to continue using Windows 10 after support ends on October 14, 2025, will have the option of enrolling their PCs into a paid ESU subscription. The ESU program enables PCs to continue to receive critical and important security updates through an annual subscription service after support ends. The Microsoft Security Response Center defines the severity rating for security updates.

3: Reminder: Pricing update for annual & triennial term subscriptions with monthly billing from April 1, 2025:

Starting at April 1, 2025, all new and renewing monthly billing plans for annual & triennial term subscriptions will be priced 5% higher than the annual / upfront billing option for annual & triennial term subscription plans.

This pricing update will help to standardize the billing structure across Buy Online, CSP and MCA-E.

For example, a customer with monthly billing for annual subscription renewing on May 1, 2025 will see the price update starting the next monthly billing cycle.

Customer who want to keep their existing pricing may choose to switch from monthly billing to annual / upfront billing for their annual & triennial term subscriptions at their renewal date.

4: End of Sales (EOS) scheduling billing frequency changes capability:

Beginning March 10, 2025, customers on EOS and EOS with Conversion offers can schedule a change to edit the billing frequency for their annual or triennial term subscriptions at renewal.

This capability, will help scheduling billing frequency changes ahead of the renewal date for customers on EOS and EOS with Conversion offers before the pricing update to standardize the billing structure across Buy Online, CSP and MCA-E** effective April 1, 2025.

Cloud Commerce Platform (CCx) – improvements, additions and bug fixes:

 

1: Enhanced user experience during check out:

A more intuitive and efficient user experience will be added to the address selection process during checkout.
Clients will no longer see concatenated formats combining the company name with billing or shipping addresses, allowing for better identification of preferred addresses.
