4: How Insight Will Handle The Upcoming Change to Subscription Grace Period – Effective April 1, 2026:

As announced in October 2025, starting April 1, 2026, Microsoft will discontinue the free grace period for accessing services on non-renewed subscriptions under the CSP program. This change applies to license-based services that are purchased / renewed on or after April 1, 2025, and expire on or after April 1, 2026, with auto-renewal turned off.

For customers who choose not to renew their subscriptions purchased through Insight, this subscription will be cancelled at the end of its term and will immediately enter a disabled status.

While in a disabled status:

  • Users will immediately lose access to files and services.
  • Administrators will retain access to the admin portal and can back up organizational data for 90 days.
  • Any data left in the tenant may be deleted after 90 days and will be permanently deleted no later than 180 days following cancellation.

To prevent service disruptions or data loss, we recommend reviewing your renewal settings and planning accordingly.

Options include:

  • Keep Auto-renew enabled.
  • Move users to another active subscription before the subscription enters disabled status.
  • Choose monthly term with monthly billing products to cover a short period of product use.

Development is already underway to incorporate these changes into our Cloud Commerce Platform (CCx).
We will keep you informed as progress continues and notify you upon completion.

5: Security Advisory: Critical Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Vulnerability:

Microsoft has released a critical out-of-band (OOB) security update addressing CVE-2025-59287, a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) across supported Windows Server versions.
This vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 9.8 and is classified as Critical.

Impact Summary:

  • Vulnerability: Remote Code Execution via WSUS
  • Severity: Critical (CVSS 9.8)
  • Affected Platforms: Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 (including 23H2 Core), and 2025
  • Important: Microsoft has confirmed active exploitation of this vulnerability in the wild. Prompt remediation is strongly recommended

Required Actions:

  1. Identify WSUS Hosts - Determine which Windows Servers have the WSUS Server Role enabled.
    • Servers without the WSUS role are not currently vulnerable.
    • However, we recommend applying the update to all Windows Servers to ensure future protection.

  2. Apply the OOB Security Update
    • Released: October 23, 2025
    • Target: All affected Windows Server versions
    • Reboot required after installation to complete mitigation.

  3. Temporary Workaround (if patching is delayed)
    • Disable the WSUS Server Role
    • Block inbound traffic to ports 8530/8531 at the host firewall
    • Maintain these controls until the update is applied and the server is rebooted.

  4. Verify Remediation
    • Confirm successful patching and reboot
    • Ensure WSUS synchronization and update deployments are functioning as expected

  5. Hotpatch Program Updates
    • Microsoft released standalone OOB updates on October 24, 2025, for Windows Server 2022 and 2025 enrolled in the Hotpatch program.
    • These also require a reboot for WSUS-enabled servers.

You can view impacted resources in Service Health by selecting the Impacted Resources tab at the top of this message.

6: Reminder: The return of Microsoft Teams into the Office 365 & Microsoft 365 bundles:

Microsoft Announces Licensing and Pricing Changes Following Agreement with European Commission:

Microsoft has finalized an agreement with the European Commission, referred to as Microsoft’s “Commitments” to expand interoperability and data portability resources. As part of this agreement, Microsoft will implement additional changes to the licensing and pricing of Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams. These updates aim to enhance flexibility, support open ecosystems, and provide customers with more options tailored to their needs.

To align with the Commitments while continuing to prioritize customer needs, Microsoft is introducing several changes to its licensing and pricing structure.

These changes will take effect globally on November 1, 2025

Key Updates:

  • Expanded Suite Options:
New customers worldwide will once again be able to purchase Microsoft 365 and Office 365 Enterprise suites that include Teams. This reintroduction ensures maximum flexibility, allowing customers to choose from the full lineup of suites—with or without Teams—either standalone or integrated with other collaboration solutions.
  • Pricing Adjustments:
In accordance with the Commitments, Microsoft will establish specific price differentials (“price deltas”) between suites that include Teams and those that do not. Additionally, standalone Teams pricing will be maintained at or above the required delta for each customer segment.

Key Takeaways:

  • Customers currently using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 suites without Teams can transition to equivalent or higher-tier suites that include Teams, either midterm or at renewal.
  • Customers currently using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 suites with Teams will be able to switch to equivalent suites without Teams at renewal.

Contact your local Insight account manager if you have further questions.

Insight's Cloud Commerce Platform – Improvements and Developments:

Cloud Commerce Platform - CCx on https://buy.insight.com - November 08, 2025:

1: Split Billing for Microsoft Products – New Invoice Preferences Now Available:

We’re introducing a new Microsoft Invoice Preferences feature, designed to give customers greater flexibility in how billing is structured. This capability will be integrated across all relevant systems, including direct clients and resellers.

The enhancement includes:

User interface updates to enable preference selection and backend system modifications to store, process, and apply preferences

Available Invoice Preferences:

Standard: Invoices will remain unchanged and follow the current format.
By Purchase Order Number: Each purchase order will generate a separate invoice.
Split Azure and the Rest: Two distinct invoices will be issued, one for Azure-related charges (consumption, reservations, marketplace, etc.), and one for Microsoft 365 license subscriptions (including Perpetual, Software Subscriptions and related products).

This update empowers customers to align billing with internal processes and improve financial clarity across Microsoft product lines.

2: Invoice page enhancements:

After we have made invoices available within our Cloud Consumption Reporting (CCR) platform at https://ccr.insight.com last month, we are consolidating the navigation structure by combining invoice and reporting under a single "Invoices & Reports" tab which will contain a link out to CCR.

We are also moving the credit visibility feature to this new tab to allow users to view their available credit limits directly from the invoices and reports page through a simple click on "See my credit limit".

3: Reseller Experience Improvements:

We are enhancing the Account page for resellers by adding Account Executive details directly to their dashboard. This update will give resellers clear visibility into their designated representative, streamlining communication and improving support responsiveness.

With this system extension and user interface upgrade, resellers will have immediate access to their assigned Account Executive, empowering them to quickly identify their primary Insight contact for sales inquiries, technical assistance, and strategic collaboration.

4: Improved Microsoft Upgrade Experience:

To improve the upgrade experience for Microsoft products, we’re introducing clearer messaging when no eligible subscriptions are available.

Currently, when customers select "Existing subscription" as their upgrade destination, they may find that none of their current subscriptions qualify, without any explanation as to why.

With this enhancement, a message stating "No existing subscriptions qualify" will now appear above the "View ineligible subscription" link. This provides immediate clarity and helps customers better understand their upgrade options.

5: Enhanced Product History Information:

Currently, customers must navigate away from critical subscription management tasks like "Manage billing preferences" and "Manage renewal" to access their product history information, creating unnecessary clicks and workflow interruptions that reduce productivity and user satisfaction.

This enhancement will add the existing Product history table to the bottom of both the "Manage billing preferences" and "Manage renewal" workspace pages, creating consistency across all manage subscription functions and providing customers with immediate access to their subscription timeline without leaving their current task.

6: Adobe Flexible Discounts:

We’re excited to launch a comprehensive Adobe Flexible Discount Program designed to strengthen our competitive edge and deliver greater value to customers in the Adobe marketplace.

This initiative introduces a fully integrated discount management system that automatically retrieves, validates, and applies Adobe’s flexible pricing throughout the customer journey. The program intelligently determines eligibility for both percentage-based and fixed-amount discounts, ensuring a seamless experience across all touchpoints:

Product Discovery: Customers are notified of available discounts directly on product pages.
Shopping Cart & Checkout: Real-time pricing reflects applicable discounts for a transparent purchasing experience.
Subscription Management: Existing customers can take advantage of new promotional opportunities as they arise.

This enhancement simplifies the buying process, improves pricing transparency, and ensures customers receive the best available offers, every step of the way.

7: Adobe Customer Segmentation:

Customers will now see only the Adobe products they are authorized to purchase. This enhancement simplifies product selection, reduces confusion, and helps prevent unauthorized transactions, ensuring a more efficient and compliant purchasing experience.
