Insight UK has today announced it has reached third place in Great Place to Work’sTM 2021 UK’s Best WorkplacesTM (large category).
The esteemed accreditation from Great Place to WorkTM is given to organisations which display an exceptional workplace culture.
Having ranked twentieth in Great Place to Work’sTM 2020 UK’s Best Workplaces, this means Insight UK has soared 17 spaces in the space of just one year, in Great Place to Work’s annual awards.
Darren Hedley, Insight UK Managing Director, says: “There is no denying that the advent of Covid-19 has had huge ramifications for not only the way people conduct business, but also how they feel about work.
“At Insight we live by our core values of Hunger, Heart and Harmony, and our teammates and their wellbeing, are at the centre of everything we do.
“From the very start of the pandemic, our priority was ensuring our teammates had all the support they needed. Despite the fact we’ve established a teammate-centric culture, we knew that with the pandemic, this wouldn’t be enough. We would need to adapt our approach - ‘one-size-fits-all’ wouldn’t work. This accreditation reflects that approach and the way we were able to adapt and support our teammates, every step of the way.
“I am certain endorsements such as these will help us to continue to attract world class talent, building upon our reputation as trusted industry leaders, offering the very best solutions to clients.”
According to Great Place to WorkTM, Insight is considered a Great Place to Work because of its diverse, inclusive culture and the sense of community fostered, underpinned by the company’s strong set of values; Hunger, Heart and Harmony.
This accolade builds on a series of awards recently received by Insight from Great Place to WorkTM. As well as the 2020 UK Best WorkplaceTM win, Insight UK was recognised for its Excellence in Wellbeing in 2020. Insight UK further won Best Workplace in TechTM for the second year in a row in 2020, ranking eighth and topping a number of applicants. Further awards include being acknowledged as one of Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces for WomenTM and in 2019, Insight was also recognised by Great Place to Work™ for its Excellence in Wellbeing.
Gill Swain, UK HR Director, adds: “For me, HR has always been the beating heart of a business, it’s function is to care and assist its employees. This couldn’t be more true with the advent of Covid-19.
“From the very start of the pandemic, our purpose was clear – to ensure our teammates clearly understood the decisions we were making as a business pertaining to health, wellbeing and safety.
“As a business, we’ve been really supportive of the pressures individual teammates have faced, whether they’re living alone, with friends or with family. Our mantra has been ‘every teammate’s circumstance is different’ and that has been key to our approach. The success we’ve seen with Great Place to Work™ is testament to this and the fact that Insight’s culture continues to go from strength to strength.”
